The New European Bauhaus initiative connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces. In this co-creation session, we explore what this new movement means for the city of Amsterdam and how existing city initiatives could feed into it. What do you think beautiful, sustainable and inclusive cities should look like?

The New European Bauhaus calls on all Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls. What does this mean? And why should you become a member of this movement that promises to be a platform for experimentation and a bridge between the worlds of science & tech and art & culture?

In this session Alessandro Rancati from the EU’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Eurocities Secretary General Anna Lisa Boni will elaborate on the aims and methods of the New European Bauhaus and are connected to Amsterdam initiatives that already work on creating beautiful, sustainable and inclusive spaces. The meeting is organized by the Amsterdam Municipality, represented by its Director of Urban Planning and Sustainability Josja van der Veer and Chief Science Officer Caroline Nevejan.

Everybody is invited to join the conversation live and add suggestions and questions via zoom.
